Tyler Walker
Piano — Valdosta State University
Tyler Walker is a senior at Valdosta State University pursuing a degree in piano performance, studying with Lyle Indergaard. While at VSU, Tyler has received many honors. Most recently, he won the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra's concert competition for the second time, performing Chopin's Grande Polonaise Brillante. Also, he has been selected three times as a winner in the Georgia Music Educator's Association's Solo Piano competition, and was selected as Honorable Mention in the MTNA piano competition in 2013. Along with a very active performing schedule, Tyler is currently the organist at Park Avenue United Methodist Church in Valdosta. He has held similar positions at South Georgia churches since he was 14 years old.
