2021 Scholarship Winner
Ann Marie McPhail
Soprano — Clark Atlanta University / Georgia State University / University of Southern Mississippi
Ann won the $5,000 2021 Scholarship Competition to study for two weeks at the summer session at the Mozarteum Academy in Salzburg, Austria. The purpose of the Scholarship Competition is to "nurture and develop the talents of Georgia musicians."
Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Ann Marie McPhail received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Education from Clark Atlanta University, and a Master of Music Degree in Voice Performance from Georgia State University.
Presently, Ms. McPhail is a Doctor of Musical Arts candidate at The University of Southern Mississippi. After completing her DMA, Ann aspires to teach at the university level while continuing her singing career. She is passionate about delving into the emotions of her music, and relishes every chance she can to coach young singers.
