October 1999 Concert
The Pro-Mozart Society of Atlanta's October 1999 concert featured Dmitri Teterin and Margarita Schevchenko, concert pianists.
Two world-renowned Concert Pianists, were both born in Russia and have won the most prestigious world-competition awards possible, performing to critical acclaim in many European countries, as well as the U.S.A., Morocco, South Africa, and Japan. They are both pianists of dazzling ability. Critics say of Schevchenko that “no pianist can match in terms of her serenity, poetry, and delicacy.” She is a “pensive master, full of dynamic gradations and elastic phrasing.” And of the gifted prodigy, Teterin, “a virtuosic charmer, working the piano into a schizzo frenzy and pulling a prism of colors from his large palette of nuances.”
