March 2000 Concert

The Pro-Mozart Society of Atlanta's March 2000 concert featured Konstantin Pfiz, Cellist. He was accompanied by Paul Ravinius, Piano.

Artists' Biographies

Konstantin Pfiz, Cellist

Konstantin Pfiz made his Carnegie Hall debut in 1997, and the next year, at the invitation of conductor Claudio Abbado, was soloist with the European Union Orchestra concert tour. He studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London, and at the Karajan Academy in Berlin. He was a winner of the German “Jugend musiziert” competition, and also of the International Schumann Competition in London. In addition to his solo career, Mr. Pfiz is solo-cellist of the Bergen Philharmonic in Norway, and cellist of the Clement Trio, with which he has performed at major halls around the world.

Paul Ravinius, Pianist

Paul Ravinius is also a member of the Clement Trio. He comes from a family of musicians in Saarland, Germany and has won awards at a number of competitions.
